Who is MQL?
Midtown Quality of Life, Inc. advocates for the residents in the Midtown High-Rise/Mid-Rise District to build a vibrant, connected residential community. (See the District map below.)
Our Vision: Create a sense of community where all residents of the District can enjoy the energy and tranquility of life, every day and night.
Our Mission: Midtown Quality of Life Coalition (MQL) seeks to provide the primarily condominium and apartment residents within the District an effective voice and representation in creating and sustaining a comfortable, vibrant, and livable neighborhood. MQL addresses issues that disrupt residents’ quality of life. We develop ideas as well as recommend and influence implementation of solutions to governmental agencies, commercial entities, and community organizations.
Our History: Midtown high-rise living has increased from 3,000 to over 15,000 residents within 13 years. With that growth have come challenges unique to high-rise and mid-rise communities. A group of residents in 2017 created MQL to deal with these challenges.
A different kind of Neighborhood
High-rise and mid-rise buildings represent a new type of neighborhood - a dense vertical neighborhood - within Atlanta. MQL offers a channel of connectivity through community gatherings and functions featuring elected officials, public safety officers, urban development and community leaders.
MQL consists of resident participation and partnering interests from Downtown to Buckhead, and partnering with any neighborhoods experiencing common issues. This extensive partnering makes MQL an effective and unique community organization.
The organizational foundation consists of three pillars of community success: livability, growth and partnerships. The pillars serve as a guide for facilitating the development of ideas and resources, and recommending solutions to governmental agencies, commercial entities and community organizations.
